Last year, I participated in SBCF with my comic Stagnation Seed. I was initially going to make a comic with a similar mood, gloomy and introspective, but decided against it; I need some pep in my step, some fun shenanigans !!! ... So I'm making a story (title TBA) about SHARPIE, the craziest(+ sexiest?!) woman :-D
If you're unfamiliar with ShortBox ComicsFair, the quick and dirty is this: It's an online comics-fair! Anybody who wishes to participate will submit an application during the application period, and accepted artists are alerted in December(ish). Then, they spend the next year crafting an all-new comic for the fair. Then in October, the comics are displayed on the SBCF-site, for digital visitors to purchase. Sort of like an online marketplace! After the fair concludes, artists are paid and retain all rights. As by SBCF-rules, I can't share too much of the contents of my comic until the release in October - but I'm so excited to be making a Sharpie-story :-) She's dear to me, and many of you seem to enjoy her too. 
The comic will be around 25 pages, and I'll probably post more sneak peeks when we get closer to October!! Sharpie-fans ASSEMBLE...!! - xoxo Benni |
