New Sharpie-figure!! Time for a tour of the process!

Usually, I sculpt my figures in one solid colour, and then paint everything. The reason is, I find it difficult not to smudge the clay and accidentally blend the colours... But I figured I could manage if the design was simple enough, so this teary Sharpie has all her parts made of different clay, with painted details. The effect is really cool, she looks more like a collectible figurine than any of my other figs.

The body is made using a tinfoil base and polymer clay + acrylic paint and matte fimo-varnish.

Look at her... a nugget...

As for the tears...!! I've had people assume that I used glue, but it's glass. I've have a small selection of misshapen glass-beads; factory mistakes. Among them are some clear glass-blobs, which I pressed onto the clay before baking. The result is cool and durable!

That's all !!! I love her so much... You can even buy her on a shirt :-)

Byeee!
