Guess who has joined
the lineup?! Mani's roach-roommate, GRAVYLYNN (Gravy, Gravvy or Grav for short). Here's a look into the process of making her :-))
Because both Mani and Sharpie have OOAK-dolls, with existing dolls as bases, I wanted to do the same for Gravy to stay on theme.

Her base is two playmobile boy-figures. I had to do some pretty intense mods, lol... The plastic is kinda soft, so I was able to break the dolls apart easily. I secured the two bodies together with a wire + glue. I heated up two pieces of wire, sticking them into the head, where they stuck easily.
Fairly straight forward!
Next up, sculpting. Using miliput as usual, I smoothed out her torso and added her features. Pretty finicky, since she's so small, but i like detail-oriented stuff like this.

Starting to take shape...! Here she is, next to Sharpie. Her 'canon' size is a bit smaller than this, but it'd be tough to display her and have her pose with the others if she gets too small. This size seems correct somehow, to me - besides, I draw her at slightly varying sizes, depending on the context, so it's all good.

Fully sculpted and painted, on my roommate's bookshelf :-) Using a heated blade, I even carved into her hands to create her lil roach-fingers. I admittedly don't know roach anatomy, and even so, her species is technically just 'Bug'. So it doesn't matter whether it's roach-accurate. (Fun fact, in the universe they exist in, there are only two types of creatures: Bugs and Dogs.)

She almost needs lil roachy sneakers, doesn't she?! The t-shirt I made her kinda looks like sleep-wear, but that tracks, given her demeanor, LOL. I'm very pleased with how she came out, especially the face and antenna - She looks close to how I draw her!

And that's about it! I'd like to take more pics of this girlie and the others soon, and I would've liked to include some group-pics here at the end, but for now... The most important thing for me was to post before May ends, LOL! hope you enjoyed :-)
